Congress News Webpages

After seeing something similar on other ophthalmology organizations' websites, I suggested to my manager that we create a news page/blog on the websites for our 2 main upcoming congresses: APVRS 2017 and APAO 2018.

With posts about the meeting content or tourist attractions, these news pages can be updated more frequently (and more visibly) than other parts of our event websites. The content is often adapted from our newsletters, though I have also written some original posts. Additionally, the links can be posted on social media to attract more website views.

In the future, it would be great to ask guest writers, such as young doctors, to contribute to the news pages. However, we already have some difficulty with email response rates, so I'm not sure how successful that would be.
