Another change in job scope

In my last post, I explained how I temporarily worked with the corporate affairs and internal communications team at Bupa to help with crisis communications during the first wave of the coronavirus in Hong Kong. However, since late spring, I've been back to my usual job duties in the marketing communications team, including English language writing, editing and serving as the brand guardian.

Starting from next year in January 2021, the scope of my responsibilities will be changing again. Management have decided to shift all brand-related work to the corporate affairs team, which is now also responsible for branding. This change makes total sense, as the team will help to review and align branding issues for not only Bupa, but also Quality HealthCare (Bupa's provision business).

Still, I'll be sorry to be less involved in all the branding-related work I've been doing till now. Branding was pretty new to me when I started at Bupa, and I've enjoyed learning more about brand identity, look and feel. I'm glad to have had the opportunity to get experience in this area and perhaps my work will be more related to branding in the future.
