Two projects, very different schedules

 

In June and July 2026, City University of Hong Kong Press published a total of five English books, all of which were edited and managed by me. Around three of the titles were scheduled to be published earlier, but we encountered multiple delays related to outstanding content, manuscript revisions, FSC certification, and more.

In fact, the manuscript for Brand Storytelling: Crafting Compelling Narratives that Resonate with your Audience was originally submitted before I went on maternity leave in 2024. It was approved after that, but then put on hold when other more urgent projects were given priority. I'm very glad this concise, useful book is finally available (and very grateful to the author for her patience). 

Secrets from the British Archives: Hong Kong and Its Post-Colonial Future is an example of a book that was fast-tracked for publication ahead of other submissions. It was originally published in Chinese and has since become a bestseller and received multiple awards. The English version has been updated and expanded, and I really wish there had been more time for additional developmental editing, as the final product is rather long. Still, the book contains a lot of information that will be appealing to anyone with an interest in Hong Kong's colonial history.
