Volunteer Writing

I recently decided I would like to do more and different kinds of writing, not just what I do at work and on my blogs. Of course I could try freelancing, but I thought that volunteering might be a bit more flexible, plus it's helpful to others as well as myself.

To start with, I found a website called Volunteer Match, where small nonprofit companies and organizations post requests for volunteers. Even better, there are many seeking online or virtual volunteers, not just in-person ones.

The environment has always been one of my other interests, but it's an area where I do not have much experience. So, I searched for environmental organizations and found Save the Water, who were looking for website writers and editors.

So far, I have been going through their website and editing some of the text that is already there. My adapted text is featured on the following pages:

Additionally, I edited the About Us and What We Do sections. I've been told that my changes are going to be used, along with some extra information from the company CEO.
